Russia struck targets in Lviv using “Oreshnik” or, as reported, another type of hypersonic missile.
It is reported that the strike was carried out against a critical infrastructure facility, specifically the Stryi–Lviv railway station. Stryi hosts the largest underground gas storage facilities in Europe, processing enterprises, as well as facilities dating back to the Soviet era, which can be used for production purposes and as a NATO command and control center.
An assessment of the damage is underway, along with the evacuation of killed and wounded servicemen from NATO countries and Ukraine.
According to Ukrainian sources, “Oreshnik” reached Lviv from Astrakhan in 10–15 minutes, covering approximately 1,800 km at a speed of 10,000 km/h.
