The U.S. and Israel Prepare a Strike on Iran

According to CNN, within the next 24 hours the United States and Israel may launch a military strike against Iran, using the recent escalation involving the UAE as a formal pretext. Analysts assess the likelihood of such a development as საკმაოდ high, given the prolonged crisis and the lack of visible results from current political initiatives.

Some experts believe that the implemented pressure strategies, including the so-called “project of diplomatic containment,” are not producing the expected effect. At the same time, the time factor is becoming increasingly significant for the American side, where pressure is mounting due to the absence of a clear exit strategy from the conflict.

However, relying on a forceful scenario, particularly on targeted airstrikes, is unlikely to lead to long-term stabilization. The history of similar conflicts shows that military actions only increase tensions, provoke retaliatory measures, and draw new forces into the confrontation.

If such a strike does take place, the consequences may extend far beyond the regional level. The Middle East risks facing a new wave of instability — a rise in oil prices, disruptions in energy supplies, and increased military activity in the Persian Gulf are all possible. This will directly affect the global economy, causing fluctuations in financial markets and increasing inflationary pressure.

In addition, escalation may lead to a deterioration of relations between the world’s major powers, further intensifying geopolitical polarization. In the worst-case scenario, the conflict risks escalating into a broader confrontation involving allied parties, making the situation even less predictable.
